01. Agreement and operator
These Terms of Service apply to Night Watch: Dreamlight Defense (Night Watch), its TikTok mini game and browser version, and related services offered by ByteTrove Innovations LLC, 808 E Liberty St, Mexico, MO 65265-2956, United States. By using the game, you agree to these terms to the extent permitted by law. If you do not agree, do not use the game. The Night Watch Privacy Policy explains how information is handled.
02. Eligibility and platform terms
You must be at least 13 and meet any higher minimum age or other eligibility requirements imposed by your region and the platform. If you are under the legal age of majority, use the game only with the permission of a parent or guardian where required by law. Access through TikTok is also subject to TikTok’s applicable terms, policies and regional availability. TikTok operates its platform independently; ByteTrove is responsible for this game.
03. Permission to play and intellectual property
Subject to these terms, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable permission to use the game for non-commercial entertainment. The game software, artwork, audio, design and branding belong to ByteTrove or the relevant rights holders. No ownership is transferred to you. Do not redistribute, sell or commercially exploit the game or its assets without authorization. Statutory rights and uses permitted by applicable law remain unaffected.
04. Gameplay and local progress
Night Watch is a single-player tower-defense game with buildings, upgrades, levels and in-game rewards. Progress and preferences are stored locally using your browser or TikTok storage. The current version does not provide developer-operated cloud saves or a cross-device account service. Clearing storage, changing devices, reinstalling software or storage failures can reset progress. Keep this limitation in mind before removing game data. Platform login does not by itself provide a backup of your saved game.
05. Advertising and optional rewards
Where available, the game may display TikTok interstitial advertisements at gameplay transitions and offer optional rewarded videos for supplies, level rewards or revival. Rewards require platform confirmation that the video was completed and that the game conditions remain eligible. Closing a video early, an unavailable ad, an error or cancellation may mean no reward is issued. Ads and rewards depend on regional availability, platform support, frequency limits and configuration. Basic gameplay does not require you to choose rewarded videos. We do not guarantee that an advertisement will always be available.
06. Virtual resources and platform missions
Game coins, energy, upgrades and other virtual benefits are gameplay features with no cash value. They cannot be redeemed for money, traded or transferred outside supported gameplay. Return-entry and shortcut rewards, if available, require platform-confirmed eligibility and are subject to the limits shown in the game. The current version does not offer real-money purchases or subscriptions. If paid features are introduced, their prices and applicable purchase/refund terms will be disclosed before purchase. Nothing here limits mandatory consumer rights.
07. Fair use and security
Do not exploit bugs or manipulate ad-completion or mission responses to obtain unauthorized rewards; interfere with game or platform security; distribute malicious code; infringe another person’s rights; or use support channels to threaten, harass, impersonate or defraud. Do not access systems or data without authorization. Reverse engineering restrictions apply only to the extent permitted by law. You are responsible for keeping your device and platform account secure.
08. Updates, availability and ending use
We may update gameplay, balance, features or supported devices, and may interrupt or discontinue features for maintenance, security, legal or operational reasons. Where required, we will provide notice and applicable remedies. We may restrict access for a material breach of these terms or misuse, subject to applicable law and platform controls. You can stop using the game at any time. Ending use does not automatically delete information held by TikTok; see the Privacy Policy for data choices.
09. External services and advertisements
TikTok, advertisers, linked destinations and your internet provider operate independently under their own terms. An advertisement does not constitute our endorsement of a product or service. Your transactions with an advertiser are with that advertiser. Mobile data or internet charges imposed by your provider may apply. Please direct game-related issues to ByteTrove and platform-account issues to TikTok.
10. Disclaimers and liability
We aim to provide a working and enjoyable game, but cannot promise uninterrupted availability, compatibility with every device, error-free operation or recovery of local saves. To the extent permitted by law, the game is supplied “as is” and “as available”. To the extent permitted by law, ByteTrove is not liable for indirect or consequential loss resulting from use of the game. These terms do not exclude or limit liability for fraud, willful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury where legally protected, or any liability, warranty or consumer remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
11. Governing law and resolving concerns
Subject to mandatory local laws and consumer protections, these terms are governed by the laws of Missouri, United States, excluding its conflict-of-law rules. This choice does not deprive consumers of mandatory rights or the ability to bring a claim in a competent court available under applicable law. Please contact [email protected] with a description of a concern so we can try to resolve it. These terms do not impose mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.
12. Changes and general provisions
We may revise these terms as the game or legal requirements change. The date on this page identifies the current version. We will give additional notice of material changes and seek agreement where required by law; changes will not remove rights already accrued. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent lawful. Failure to enforce a provision immediately does not waive our right to enforce it later.
